edan orgad2024-06-13Long Bay Kiteboarding owned and run by Chris is THE place to learn to kiteboard. I cannot say enough nice things about Chris and his assistant Emily. I’ve been wanting to learn Kiteboarding for a few years and was intimidated. The opportunity came to take lessons in Turks and Caicos and have my boys 11 and 15 learn as well. I’m 50 with no water sport or snowboarding experience and Chris had me on a board on my 3rd lesson. The learning curve is big and a good instructor with lots of patience and knowledge is key. Unlike snow sports (I do ski), the water is forgiving and Chris’s program of baby steps, finesse and safety had me Kiteboarding at age 50. There are a lot of instructors to choose from but I wanted the one that would be 100% engaged and vested in my success. I got what I wanted! Chris and Emily had us motivated every minute and our smiles were the proof of their hard work and our success. Good luck to all of you!

Raquel Nelson2024-05-15My fiancé and I both took lessons with this company and were very confident in our abilities, our instructor, and how to reach our goals in kiteboarding! I have taken a lesson from a different company and the difference was night and day! Thanks to the owner, Chris’, programming, we learned how to launch and land the kite with ease and control. The program moved at a pace which we would graduate seamlessly into the next step to learn, so when we were actually kiteboarding, we could confidently handle any situation that arose. At the same time, part of the confidence did stem from our amazing instructor, Emily, who expertly demonstrated, coached and identified anything we weren’t doing correctly and expertly shared the information with us right with us because she’s also steering a keeping up with you! Imagine that, the instructor with you the whole time while learning! You are never alone in the water, Emily stayed with us the entire time which gave us immediate feedback. This was the best lesson I’ve ever received in a new sport. I hope to bring my dad out some day to get instructed by Long Bay Kiteboarding! I’m sure with their lesson, even he, a 67 year old, could learn how to kite surf.
